Places of Memory: Military Memorial Cemetery Italian and Austro-Hungarian World War I - cemetery of Feltre (BL)

Cemetery is well prepared to work occurred from 1979 to 1982, by the Austrian Black Cross, in cooperation with the City of Feltre and the Commissioner General of Honour in War Memorial. Remember the Fallen 3550 known as 1550, with names and grade listed on the crosses, and 2,000 persons unknown who have devoted the Monument as a backdrop to the place of remembrance.
Kurt Gruber, ace with four gold medals, is one of the fallen Austro-Hungarians, 3550 buried in the cemetery of Feltre. His plane was shot down over Primolano (VI) in Valsugana, April 4, 1918. He was born in Linz in 1896.
The plaque commemorates the celebration of the 19th Meeting of the Italian-Austrian Peace, July 11, 2009.

Il Monumento ai Caduti di tutte le Guerre, all'ingresso del lungo viale pedonale alberato che porta al cimitero cittadino di Feltre, ha ai piedi le particolari aquile realizzate dal maestro del ferro battuto Carlo Rizzarda, cui è dedicato il Civico Museo d'Arte Moderna. L'opera scultorea "La Resurrezione dell'Eroe", bronzo  del 1920, è di Annibale De Lotto (1877-1932), artista e prolifico scultore cadorino.
